Millions of Michael Jackson fans were left saddened when he passed away in 2009. Many people who found the news hard to deal with then came up with speculations that the King of Pop faked his death and is actually still alive.

Adding fuel to the fire is a selfie that his daughter Paris Jackson posted on Instagram a few months ago. The snap, which mostly sees the 18-year-old girl wearing a straw hat and black shades as she poses in a car, recently went viral after some people noticed a silhouette of a man sitting in the backseat.

"Who's that in the backseat???" a commenter asked. "Oh my god, Michael Jackson is it really you?" another added.

While some people are convinced that the man in Paris' car is the late legend, some others aren't. "Yeah I'm sure she is going to take a picture with someone who is meant to be dead in the background. 'Dont worry dad, it's dark, they probably wont see you anyway?' " a fan commented on a YouTube video that features Paris' selfie.

Jacko died in June 2009 after taking the wrong amount of prescription drugs, resulting in a heart attack. His passing came just weeks before he was supposed to start his comeback tour, titled "This Is It".

On the 7th anniversary of her dad's death, Paris paid tribute to him by sharing a montage of photos of herself with the "Heal the World" singer, and writing a touching message in the caption. "7 years, rest in peace, my best friend in the entire universe. I love you more than anything," she said.

"Things may be a little s**tty in the press right now but everyone knows it's all bull and I swear on the family name I will protect you for as long as I live," she continued. "There's no one like you, and there never will be. Thank you for touching millions of hearts, but especially my own."
