Selena Gomez is reportedly now in rehabilitation center following the announcement of her hiatus on Tuesday, August 30. Rumor has it, the "Hands to Myself" hitmaker is struggling from drug addiction following the tragic death of her close friend Christina Grimmie.

A source close to the "Good for You" songstress tells Radar Online that she "began spiraling" after she found out about Christina's murder and she was doing what she could to numb herself. "Selena wasn't the same after that," says the source, "She was definitely depressed - it was obvious."

According to the source, Selena was taking a cocktail of "Lunesta, Ambien, Klonopin and Xanax. Not all at once. And more 'recreational' than any one thing specifically."

A representative for the 24-year-old singer hasn't commented on the report yet.

The news comes after Selena announced that she's taking a break from music industry, canceling the remaining dates of her "Revival Tour" to focus on her health. "As many of you know, around a year ago I revealed that I have lupus, an illness that can affect people in different ways," she said in a statement, "I've discovered that anxiety, panic attacks and depression can be side effects of lupus, which can present their own challenges."

She continued, "I want to be proactive and focus on maintaining my health and happiness and have decided that the best way forward is to take some time off. Thank you to all my fans for your support. You know how special you are to me, but I need to face this head on to ensure I am doing everything possible to be my best. I know I am not alone by sharing this, I hope others will be encouraged to address their own issues."
