Henry Cavill Hints at Black Superman Suit Ahead of 'Justice League'
Movie

The 33-year-old actor took to Instagram to share a picture of a black Superman suit to tease the color of the suit he will wear in the upcoming DC superhero movie.

AceShowbiz - It looks like Superman will wear a black suit in the upcoming "Justice League". "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" actor Henry Cavill took to his Instagram account on Monday, August 15 to preview what appears to be an upgraded costume for the Last Son of Krypton.

The image, simply accompanied by the hashtag "#Superman," shows the upgraded suit with an inky color scheme and an intricate armor-like texture. After looking at the picture, fans are now speculating that Cavill will don the black suit in the upcoming DC film as the filming is currently underway in London.

The black suit first appeared in the 1990s "Death and Return of Superman" comics, where Superman died at the hands of Doomsday. After his death, other people wore the Superman suits until the real Superman returned wearing the new suit with a metallic "S" logo.

As for Cavill's Superman, he was last seen wearing his red-and-blue suit in "Batman v Superman" opposite Ben Affleck's the Dark Knight and Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman. [SPOILER ALERT!] Similar to the storyline in the comics, he was also dead at the hands of Doomsday. If the story of "Justice League" will be plotted from the comic books, he will indeed wear the black suit.

Cavill is joined by Gadot, Affleck, Jason Momoa, Ray Fisher and Ezra Miller as the DC heroes in the upcoming movie. Other cast members include Amy Adams, Amber Heard, J.K. Simmons, Jeremy Irons, Willem Dafoe, Jesse Eisenberg and Julian Lewis Jones. The film will arrive in U.S. theaters on November 17, 2017.

"Justice League" centers on Bruce Wayne who enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat.

But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes - Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash - it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.
