The second "Star Wars" spin-off is reportedly adding another classic character. According to TheWrap, the untitled stand-alone Star Wars film II is currently looking for a young version of Lando Calrissian to accompany young Han Solo, who will be portrayed by Alden Ehrenreich. No information is available about actors being considered as Disney has yet to respond to the reports.

The Cloud City cassanova was originally portrayed by Billy Dee Williams in 1980's "The Empire Strikes Back" and 1983's "Return of the Jedi" alongside Harrison Ford's Han Solo and Mark Hamill's Luke Skywalker. The 79-year-old actor reprised his role as Lando on "Star Wars Rebels" episodes "Idiot's Array" and "Siege of Lothal".

In the upcoming stand-alone film, the original owner of the Millenium Falcon will likely be parted from Han Solo as the pair were said to have a long history before they reunited in the original "Star Wars" films. The film will be directed by Phil Lord and Chris Miller with a script provided by Lawrence Kasdan and his son Jon.

Plot details are still kept under wraps, but the film is described as an origin story about Han Solo and his best buddy Chewbacca. The filming is set to begin in January 2017 in England for a May 25, 2018 release in U.S. theaters.
