AceShowbiz - "Moana" just got a promotional boost from the 2016 Olympics taking place in Rio. Walt Disney Animation released a new TV spot, which highlights Maui, for the upcoming animated film during NBC's coverage of the event on Sunday night, August 7.

In the approximately one-minute video, the titular heroine asks the tattooed demigod Maui to join her on a daring mission to save the world. At first, he doesn't want to go on a mission with "some kid," but later decides to help her so that he can be a hero.

They set off on the journey even though he warns her that it will take them "through a whole ocean of bad." Moana insists that the ocean chose her for a reason. The new footage also offers a glimpse of villain lava witch. Other scenes feature his tattoo and weapon glowing as he says in a voiceover, "It's Maui time."

The upcoming animated adventure features the voices of Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Auli'i Cravalho. Newcomer Cravalho lends her voice to Moana, while Wrestler-turned-actor Johnson is behind the voice of Maui. They are joined by Alan Tudyk, Nicole Scherzinger, Temuera Morrison, Jemaine Clement and Rachel House. The animation also features songs and music by "Hamilton" star and creator Lin-Manuel Miranda, Opetaia Foa'i and Mark Mancina.

Coming to U.S. theaters on November 23, "Moana" centers on an adventurous teenager named Moana, who sails out on a daring mission to save her people. During her journey, she meets the once-mighty demigod Maui, who guides her in her quest to become a master wayfinder.

Together, they sail across the open ocean on an action-packed voyage, encountering enormous monsters and impossible odds. Along the way, Moana fulfills the ancient quest of her ancestors and discovers the one thing she's always sought, her own identity.
