Spider-Man suit will likely have an upgraded ability in "Spider-Man: Homecoming". In an interview with Brandon Davis of ComicBook.com at the San Diego Comic-Con over the weekend, Jon Watts teased new abilities Tom Holland's Peter Parker would have with his new Spidey's suit redesigned by Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) in the upcoming flick.

"Well, the suit that Spidey was given in Civil War is a Stark suit, so you have to wonder with a Stark suit, what else can it do?" said the director. Watts seemed to get the idea to upgrade the Spidey's suit from "Captain America: Civil War", as the webslinger was seen in the film's post credit scene exploring his new high-tech suit that Stark gave him.

As for how Spider-Man would fit into Marvel Cinematic Universe, Watts said, "I think of it as the ground floor, like, if the Avengers tower is like the penthouse, and we know what it's like to be a millionaire billionaire playboy or whatever, to be Tony or what it's like to be a God on another planet, like, that's the penthouse level of the MCU."

The director explained, "Spider-Man is the ground floor. Like what does it look like, what does a high school in the MCU look like, what does riding the subway in the MCU feel like. Spider-Man seems like the perfect opportunity because he's the most relatable regular person in the cannon that I thought he was a great chance to just show what that angle of the MCU looks like."

Jon Watts directs the film from a script written by John Francis Daley and Jonathan M. Goldstein. Spider-Man will be back to his high-school roots in the upcoming solo flick. Also starring Zendaya Coleman, Marisa Tomei and Donald Glover, "Spider-Man: Homecoming" will swing into U.S. theaters on July 7, 2017.
