New details about why Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik broke up have emerged. While many were surprised by the split news, some just said they'd already predicted that the couple's relationship wouldn't last long, because the two were reportedly doomed from the very first time.

According to HollywoodLife.com, the pair decided to call it quits because the former One Direction member didn't have enough time for the 21-year-old model and "he wasn't giving Gigi the attention she craved."

"The timing for Gigi & Zayn's love made it doomed from the start," an insider said. "Zayn had time for Gigi when they first got together after finishing his latest album, but now that things are busier, he doesn't want to feel tied down in a relationship."

"He felt like he wasn't giving Gigi the time she deserved. Zayn made it clear to Gigi from the beginning that he had just gotten out of one relationship and didn't want to get back into something too serious," the insider added.

The site said that their romance was blossoming and though they're no longer a couple, there's still a lot of love between them. "They understand they are young and are leaving on good terms. They will see each other again," the source stated.
