As he geared up to perform on "Saturday Night Live", Nick Jonas played a pop up show in New York City on Thursday night, April 14. During his appearance at the Flash Factory, the former Jonas Brothers member excited the crowd with a bunch of his songs, including ones from his new album, "Last Year Was Complicated".

According to some videos taken and shared online by fans in attendance, Jonas had the crowd sing along to his hits like "Jealous", "Chains" and "Levels". He also debuted "Bacon", which will feature rapper Ty Dolla $ign on the studio version.

Jonas recently explained the real meaning behind the intriguing title in an interview with the U.K.'s Capital FM. "So many people have asked me what that song is about. A lot of guesses were: It's the morning after and it's bacon because you're having breakfast," he said. "That's not at all what it's about."

"The idea is when you are out of a relationship and you start to be okay with the fact that it's ended," he continued. "In my case my life was great, it's so good that we should throw some bacon on it to make it even better."

At his New York show, Jonas also performed other tracks from his forthcoming LP like "Champagne Problems" and "Close". He brought out his duet partner Tove Lo on the stage during the latter song.

Jonas will reunite with Lo again when he stops by "SNL" on Saturday night, April 16. The former Disney star is scheduled to release his new album on June 10 before kicking off the "Future Now" tour that he'll co-headline with Demi Lovato and feature special guest Mike Posner.
