Demi Lovato Previews 'I Will Survive' From 'Angry Birds' Movie

The former Disney star posts 1-minute clip featuring a portion of her cover of the Gloria Gaynor classic as well as appearances from the colorful birds from the film.

AceShowbiz - Demi Lovato recently announced she'd contribute a song to the "Angry Birds" movie's soundtrack. She has now treated fans to a preview of the track, which turns out to be a cover of Gloria Gaynor's classic "I Will Survive".

"Just for my lovatics, here's a sneak peek of my cover of 'I Will Survive' from #AngryBirdsMovie!!" the 23-year-old posted on Twitter Thursday, April 14, captioning a 1-minute clip featuring a snippet of her take on the tune. Some adorable birds from the animated film are seen appearing on the screen one after another as they try to steal the spotlight.

Based on the popular app of the same name, the "Angry Birds" movie flies into U.S. theaters on May 20. The voice cast includes the likes of Jason Sudeikis, Danny McBride, Bill Hader, Josh Gad, Maya Rudolph, Kate McKinnon, Peter Dinklage, Charli XCX, Tony Hale, Keegan-Michael Key and Blake Shelton.

Lovato isn't the only star who will appear on the soundtrack album, which is scheduled to arrive on May 6. Cast members Shelton and Charli XCX have also recorded new songs called "Friends" and "Explode", respectively.
