Kesha Claims She'll Be Freed From Her Label if She Lies About Dr. Luke

Luke's team immediately responded to Kesha's statement, explaining that they asked her to publicly apologize to him simply because her rape allegations are 'false.'

AceShowbiz - Kesha's (formerly Ke$ha) battle against Dr. Luke continues. The singer, who's been trying to get released from her contract with the producer's label and Sony Music, revealed in an Instagram post that she's offered freedom from them only if she says she's lied about being raped by her former collaborator.

"So, I got offered my freedom if I were to lie," she wrote in the post shared on Sunday, April 3 along with a photo of her lying on her bed while going make-up free. "I would have to apologize publicly and say that I never got raped. This is what happens behind closed doors. I will not take back the truth. I would rather let the truth ruin my career than lie for a monster ever again."

It didn't take Luke too long to respond to the claim, which he deemed "false." Shortly after Kesha made the post, his spokesperson issued a statement to Rolling Stone, saying, "The Court repeatedly stated Kesha is already free to record without Dr. Luke and that she had not presented any facts supporting her claims. That's because all the evidence - including Kesha's own videotaped sworn testimony - show her allegations are false."

"The only thing Kesha is not free to do is to continue to lie about Dr. Luke through publicity stunts and outrageous smears, ignoring the fact that by her own free will she went to work and entered new contracts with Dr. Luke years after this 'incident' supposedly happened," the statement continued. "Her goal all along has been solely personal enrichment by seeking to break contracts that brought her success and millions so she can enter into more lucrative ones. We look forward to our day in court holding Kesha accountable for her lies."

Kesha sued Luke in 2014, claiming he drugged and sexually abused her when they were working together. The allegations have all been denied by Luke and his team, who has several times pointed out that the "TiK ToK" hitmaker herself once said under oath that he never made sexual advances toward her.

Last February, a New York judge denied her request for a preliminary injunction which would have released her from her contract with Luke and his Kemosabe Records. Recently, she filed an appeal against the judge's decision.
