Two of the biggest names in comedy are joining forces for a new Noah Baumbach film. Adam Sandler and Ben Stiller are teaming up for the upcoming movie called "Yen Din Ka Kissa" ("The Story of the Day" in Hindi), which has surprisingly started filming in New York City.
The Film Stage, which first reported the news, says that Dustin Hoffman and Emma Thompson are also on board the project, which will tell the story of an estranged New York family coming together in preparation of artist and patriarch Harold's career retrospective.
Hoffman will play a father to Sandler and Stiller's characters. Thompson, meanwhile, will portray "a dreadful, passive-aggressive alcoholic," according to USA Today that referred to the film as "The Meyerowitz Stories".
"Yen Din Ka Kissa" began filming earlier this week, but no release date has been set yet. This isn't Baumbach's first time to go ahead with production without making a formal announcement beforehand. He previously shot "Frances Ha" and "Mistress America" without prior notice.
