Ron Perlman revealed during a Q&A during the Guadalajara Festival in Mexico that "Hellboy 3" may never happen. While talking about his upcoming projects "Hands of God" season 2 and "Pottersville" at the event, Ron made comments about the status of the third installment of "Hellboy" film series.

Ron, who previously had mounted a personal campaign to get "Hellboy 3" made, admitted that the sequel to "Hellboy II: The Golden Army" "probably will never happen, though you never say never never."

"Pottersville" is the first movie fully financed by Wing and a Prayer, Ron's studio-film fund. Ron stars alongside Michael Shannon, Christina Hendricks, Judy Greer, Ian McShane and Thomas Lennon.

"A bit of an homage to Frank Capra, 'Pottersville' is based on a town which is a little bit down on its luck but maintains a buoyancy and personality through a population of idiosyncratic citizens, though outsourcing has killed the economy," Ron explained. "It's the story of lot of modern American towns in a kind of Capra-esque screwball comedy."

Shooting films in central New York, Wing and a Prayer "will be my final act. It's my attempt to create an environment where artists get their visions to the screen in an unfettered way as foreign to profits, bottom line and stockholders as can possibly be," he concluded.

Ron's other upcoming films with Wing and a Prayer include "Asher" and "Wooden Lake", directed by himself. According to the actor, "Wooden Lakes" is "a very small intimate story with a comedic edge about a family dealing with personal tragedy."
