Beyonce Knowles might have skipped the red carpet, but she didn't disappoint fans as she made a surprise appearance at the 2016 Grammy Awards. The "Formation" hitmaker impressed thousands of attendees when she took the stage to present the final award of the night, Record of the Year.
The songstress looked amazing wearing a long sleeve white gown which featured sheer overlay and glittering embellishments. She flaunted her natural beauty by sporting minimal make up with her hair slicked back and tied up in a low knot. She accessorized her look with a pair of big rhombus earrings and a pair of gold strappy heels.
The 34-year-old singer, who has won 20 Grammys over the past 15 years, was announced as a presenter earlier during the ceremony. Though she was a last-minute addition to the presenters list, fans had previously speculated that the RnB star would take part at the ceremony. They made the prediction when they saw Bilboard's Instagram photo which featured what was called Beyonce's dressing room.
"Sneak peek into Beyonce's #GRAMMYs dressing room," so read the caption of the photo. Ever since the image was uploaded, a lot of fans dropped comments which implied that they wanted to see Beyonce performing. After learning that the superstar didn't perform, one of the commenters wrote, "Oh she's presenting atleast we'll get to see her."
Bruno Mars and Mark Ronson's "Uptown Funk" won the Grammy for Record of the Year, after defeating D'Angelo and The Vanguard's "Really Love," Ed Sheeran's "Thinking Out Loud," Taylor Swift's "Blank Space" and The Weeknd's "Can't Feel my Face."
