Shia LaBeouf is in the midst of a major legal battle which involves his aunt and uncle. The "Transformers" actor reportedly wants to kick his mom Shyna's sister Sharon Staide out of her New York City apartment because his uncle Barry owes him more than $1 million.

The conflict stems from Shia lending Barry $840,000 to help his employment agency survive after the financial crisis in 2009. Since then, Shia has been determined to get back the loan, which has ballooned to more than $1 million as a result of interest and legal fees. In February 2014, the 29-year-old actor won a lawsuit against Barry, but he made no effort to pay off his debt.

While Shia wants to take over his aunt's Upper East Side apartment, Sharon has told a New York judge that Shia has no legal claim to the luxurious apartment. According to Sharon, she bought the apartment back in 2004 with money she inherited from her grandmother.

She has also accused the actor of intimidating her by forcing her to give up the home that is worth $2.5 million, which is way greater than her debt. "They want to intimidate and pressure me into giving the apartment to them to pay Barry's judgment for which I have no liability," Sharon says.

Meanwhile, Barry has noted in the court paper that he didn't know he was supposed to pay the money back. "Prior to Shia's ascendancy to film stardom... I loaned Shayna hundreds of thousands of dollars to assist in the support of Shayna and Shia," so read the legal documents. "I never sought repayment of this money. Shayna, Shia and I are family."
