Matt Damon poked fun at his fellow Best Actor Oscar nominee during the Directors Guild of America Awards on Saturday, February 6. Last week, Amy Poehler joked about "The Revenant" at the Screen Actors Guild Awards, saying, "Let's all calm down about Leonardo DiCaprio and how hard it was to shoot 'The Revenant'."

On the Saturday event, Matt bragged about his own movie "The Martian" while introducing director Ridley Scott, referencing the iconic filmmaker's insistence that shooting ended each day at the same time. "Every night at 6 o'clock, the horn blew and Ridley and I went to dinner," Matt said, "And that's how you make a movie, and we finished the film really early and we saved 2 million bucks."

Matt then took a shot at Leonardo's famously harrowing shoot, which reportedly ran behind schedule and over-budget. "And Leo - we weren't cold at all. I'm just sayin'. There's another way to do it," he joked. At the time, both Leonardo and "The Revenant" director Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu laughed along with Matt.

Leonardo is likely no stranger to Matt's sense of humor as they previously worked together in "The Departed".

The event was also attended by Steven Spielberg, Bryan Cranston, Paul Haggis, Geena Davis, Lily Tomlin, Christian Bale, Steve Carell and Ryan Gosling.
