The Monster ringleader is scheduled to pay homage to David Bowie when she takes the stage at the Staples Center during Music's Biggest Night.

AceShowbiz - Lady GaGa is officially confirmed to pay tribute to David Bowie at the upcoming 58th annual Grammy Awards on February 15 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. "She's perfect for it," said Grammys producer Ken Ehrlich.

The Mother Monster had already been booked as a performer before Bowie's death. When Bowie passed away in January, "we immediately spoke and agreed that she should be the one to honor David," Ehrlich explained how the tribute came together.

According to the producer, they received offers from several artists who hoped to pay tribute to the music icon. "Some of [them] might have made sense," he said without giving any names. "The vast majority didn't."

The tribute performance will not open the show, but it will cover "at least three or four" of Bowie's songs and last six or seven minutes. It "is going to be a true homage to who David was, particularly musically, but not ignoring his influence on fashion and pop culture in a broader way," Ehrlich told New York Times.

Hosted by LL Cool J, the 2016 Grammys also features performances by Adele, Kendrick Lamar, The Weeknd, Justin Bieber, and Carrie Underwood among others. David Bowie will receive a posthumous Lifetime Achievement Award.
