After spending two weeks at No. 2, the British singer's monstrous comeback album has its eighth non-consecutive week at No. 1 with another 116,000 units.

AceShowbiz - Adele is back at the top of Billboard 200. After spending two weeks away from No. 1, the British singer's "25" album rules the chart again with 116,000 units earned this week, including 97,000 copies in pure album sales, according to Nielsen Music.

This is the record's eight non-consecutive weeks atop the list. Last week, it sat at No. 2 after Panic At the Disco's "Death of a Bachelor" made its debut at No. 1. The week prior, "25" was also at the runner-up slot when David Bowie's "Blackstar" opened at No. 1 following his death earlier this month.

Currently in its tenth week on the chart, "25" has now sold a total of 7.94 million in the U.S. alone. It will likely cross the 8 million mark next week.

Next on this week's Billboard 200, Justin Bieber's "Purpose" also rises one rung to No. 2 with another 87,000 units. Ever since it opened at No. 1 upon its release last November, the album has never left the top 3.

Behind the Canadian singer is rock band Megadeth that has their latest project "Dystopia" landed at No. 3 with 49,000 units. This is the group's highest charting album since "Countdown to Extinction" that peaked at No. 2 in 1992 and their best sales week since "United Abominations" that arrived at No. 8 with 54,000 in 2007.

At No. 4, Twenty One Pilots' "Blurryface" jumps one spot from last week's No. 5 with 42,000. Former first placers Panic At the Disco's "Death" and Bowie's "Blackstar", meanwhile, fall to No. 5 and No. 6 with 39,000 and 35,000 respectively.

Chris Stapleton's "Traveller" and The Weeknd's "Beauty Behind the Madness" both ascend one rung. The former is at No. 7 with 34,000 while the latter bows at No. 8 with 32,000. The second and last newcomer in the top 10 is the "2016 Grammy Nominees" compilation set which makes its way out to No. 9 with 31,000, all of which are pure album sales. A non-mover, Bryson Tiller's "T R A P S O U L" closes out the top 10 with 31,000.
