"Saturday Night Live" with Ronda Rousey as a host opened with a monologue that was delivered like a fight complete with two commentators. "I'm so excited to be here because this is the first time I'll be live on television without getting punched in the face," she joked.
In the first round, the UFC fighter congratulated her opponent, Holly Holm, after her shocking loss back in November. Justin Bieber (Kate McKinnon) later popped up in the third one before Selena Gomez joined the host in the final round.
Rousey also made a cameo in a so-called Screen Guild Awards sketch that took on the lack of diversity in the nominations list of 2016 Academy Awards. "Creed", "Beasts of No Nation", and "Straight Outta Compton" were among the Oscar snubs addressed on the show.
In another skit parodying "The Bachelor", Rousey and Gomez were among the seven women competing for the affections of a bland man. Meanwhile, in the "Cold Open", Tina Fey returned to do her best impression of Sarah Palin as she endorsed presidential candidate Donald Trump (Darrell Hammond).
