Vin Diesel sent movie fans into a frenzy as he released the first picture of the upcoming "Fast and Furious 8". The 48-year-old actor took to Instagram on Friday, January 15 to share the image which showed the view of New York City.

The picture taken with bird's-eye view showed NYC's skyscrapers including the iconic Empire State Building. While Diesel didn't write any caption for the picture, the picture featured a tagline which read, "New Roads Ahead." The picture confirmed what Diesel told Jimmy Fallon while stopping by "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" a few months ago that parts of the film would be set in NYC.

While many fans were excited about the release of the image, some Instagram users asked the hunky actor to stop creating new "Fast and Furious" movie following Paul Walker's death. User @carson_monboIs wrote, "Is it fast & furious 8 you can't make one without Paul Walker." Another user @mmilstead4 added, "I think yall should [quit] making these now that paul walker is dead."

In "Furious 8", Diesel will return as the lead actor. He will be joined by Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Ludacris and Tyrese Gibson, with Jason Statham and Kurt Russell expected to return. F. Gary Gray will helm the car-racing movie. The sequel to "Furious 7" will hit U.S. theaters on April 14, 2017.
