Joe Jonas and DNCE are part of the excitement of FOX's "Grease Live". The new pop rock band will be the band at Rydell High's school dance.

In the original movie, John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John's characters took part in a national dance-off in their school. Rock 'n' Roll group Sha Na Na performed "Born to Hand Jive" as the school's band called Johnny Casino and the Gamblers.

DNCE is not the only act featured on the school dance. Boyz II Men will portray a trio of Teen Angel who perform the "Grease" classic "Beauty School Dropout". In the 1978 film, Frankie Avalon had the Teen Angel role.

The musical acts will join Aaron Tveit as Danny, Julianne Hough as Sandy, Carly Rae Jepsen as Frenchy and Vanessa Hudgens as Rizzo. The show will be taped and aired in front of live audience on January 31.

This is a relatively a big gig for DNCE which was formed in the summer of 2015. Jonas is fronting the band and is supported by South Korean guitarist JinJoo, bassist and keyboardist Cole Whittle, and drummer Jack Lawless.
