Late-night shows bid farewell to the late rocker with heartfelt tributes on Monday night, January 11.

AceShowbiz - Some late-night hosts are paying tribute to David Bowie, who passed away on Sunday, January 10 after battling cancer. Among those were Jimmy Fallon, Conan O'Brien and Stephen Colbert.

During Monday's "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon", Jimmy Fallon got a bit choked up when he noted that he had just discussed about David's music video "Lazarus" on Friday's show. Jimmy praised David for having "one of the greatest senses of humor of anyone I've ever met." He recalled trading jokes with the singer via email.

"I was trying to think of something funny to say, but it just wouldn't come out right," Jimmy shared, "So I'm just going to email you, David Bowie, and if you can check your email in space or heaven or wherever you are, you don't have to email me back."

Conan said David would be remembered as a music and style icon. "In my experience he was also an incredibly nice person, he was fun and he was always funny," the host shared. He later played a montage of several appearances the singer made on his show back in '90s.

Stephen, meanwhile, paid tribute to David near the end of "The Late Show with Stephen Colbert". Musical guest El Vy was teaming up with house band Stay Human for a cover of the late singer's hit song "Let's Dance."
