A new photo of DC's upcoming movie "Suicide Squad" has surfaced online. Making its way out via USA Today, the photo sees a group of supervillains assembled while holding their weapons.

The newly-debuted photo features the likes of Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie), Killer Croc (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje), Rick Flagg (Joel Kinnaman), Deadshot (Will Smith), Captain Boomerang (Jai Courtney) and Katana (Karen Fukuhara). Coming along with the photo are details about Batman's (Ben Affleck) role in the movie.

In an interview with the site, director David Ayer spoiled some details about how the Caped Crusader fits into the plot of the upcoming movie. "We made him fight," Ayer said. "He's awesome (as Batman).... You really sense that but for the grace of God he himself would be doing some really foul stuff out in the world."

Regarding his involvement in the movie, Affleck said, "It felt like I have such a cool cousin. This thing that is so awesome is somehow related to me, and that was really exciting because it started to feel like a constellation of things, and I've never had that feeling." In addition to Batman's role, Ayer said that Jared Leto's character in the upcoming movie would be "the king of Planet Joker."

"Suicide Squad" centers on imprisoned villains recruited by a government agency to perform black operations in exchange for clemency. Viola Davis, Adam Beach, Cara Delevingne and Ike Barinholtz also star in the anti-hero movie which is slated for a release in the U.S. on August 5.
