Walt Disney Pictures has released an extended trailer for its upcoming animated movie "The Jungle Book", along with a new still. The brand new trailer puts the spotlight on Neel Sethi's Mowgli, who embarks on a journey through a dense forest.

"Are you alone out here? What are you doing so deep in the jungle? Don't you know what you are? I know what you are," Kaa the Python (Scarlett Johansson) says in voiceover, opening the video. The trailer then continues showing Mowgli, along with his loyal companions panther-turned-stern mentor Bagheera (Ben Kingsley), Baloo the bear (Bill Murray) and the jungle's other inhabitants, trying to deal with threats created by Shere Khan the tiger (Idris Elba).

Along with the extended trailer, the studio releases a new image which gives a look at the man-cub walking side by side with Bagheera as they explore the wilderness. Also in the pictures are three elephants that seemingly head to Mowgli. There is also a new poster which highlighs King Louie the orangutan (Christopher Walken) and Kaa among other animals.

Based on Rudyard Kipling's timeless stories, "The Jungle Book" blends live-action with CGI animals and environments in which Mowgli becomes the only real life character in the film. Lupita Nyong'o, Ben Kingsley and Giancarlo Esposito are also in the voice cast. Directed by Jon Favreau, the live-action/CGI film is set to be released in theaters across the nation on April 15.

In other news, Disney has released a new still for its upcoming "Alice Through the Looking Glass". The picture sees Mia Wasikowska's title character in the whimsical world as she is given a mirror by her friend Mad Hatter (Johnny Depp).

In the upcoming movie, Alice will travel back in time to save Hatter. Sacha Baron Cohen stars as a new character called Time, whose powers allow Alice to visit the Wonderland characters at different times in their lives, while Anne Hathaway reprises her role as the White Queen. Directed by James Bobin, the sequel to Tim Burton's "Alice in Wonderland" will hit U.S. theaters on April 15.
