Tom Arnold couldn't be more excited as he welcomed his second child, a girl, with wife Ashley on Friday, December 18, PEOPLE confirmed. The baby girl who is named Quinn Sophie was born in Los Angeles at 12:39 P.M., measuring 22 inches long and weighing 7 lbs, 9 oz.

"Our second miracle has arrived and she is perfect," the "Hit and Run" actor and his wife said in a statement to the publication. Their little girl joins her 2-year-old brother Jax Copeland. The arrival of their second child is especially heartwarming given his struggle to have a child in the past.

During an appearance on "The Wendy Williams Show" in January 2014, Tom admitted that he had gone through 21 rounds of in vitro fertilization with all of his spouses from his previous marriages. He said that he had basically "given up" on being a father before his fourth wife Ashley said she "really wanted" to try to have children.

After making every effort to have a child, the couple welcomed their son in 2013. Earlier this year, Tom announced on Twitter that his wife was expecting their second child. "Jax is very excited but also a bit confused with the happy news he will have a little sister this fall. #grateful," the proud dad wrote alongside a picture of his son smiling at the camera while holding an ultrasound photo.
