After releasing a new look at four key characters in "Ghostbusters (2016)", Columbia Pictures has released four character posters through PEOPLE, Time, Entertainment Weekly and InStyle. Each poster features a member of the titular ghost hunters like Melissa McCarthy's Abby Yates, Kate McKinnon's Jillian Holtzmann, Kristen Wiig's Erin Gilbert and Leslie Jones' Patty Tolan.

Rather than focusing on the characters, the new posters highlight some weapons that will be used by the titular team to hunt down ghosts in the film. Although the posters provide some close-up looks at the leading ladies, all of their faces are hidden. Gilbert's poster looks different from other posters as it puts the spotlight on the Ghostbusters logo that is attached to Gilbert's suit.

Director Paul Feig described Gilbert as a "particle physicist, academic firebrand, spectral warrior," and called Yates a "paranormal researcher, supernatural scientist, entity trapper." Meanwhile, Tolan is dubbed a "ghost tracker, municipal historian, metaphysical commando," and Holtzmann is called a "nuclear engineer, munitions expert, proton wrangler."

The new version of "Ghostbusters" follows Gilbert, who writes a book about ghost existence among human. No one pays any attention to her until a few years later when Gilbert lands a faculty position at Columbia University. She reunites with Bergman and two other wranglers to hunt down ghosts when they invade Manhattan.

The movie also stars Chris Hemsworth as the team's secretary, Andy Garcia as the mayor of New York City and Neil Casey as a villainous character. Also supported by Cecily Strong, Michael K. Williams and Matt Walsh, the movie is slated for a U.S. release on July 15, 2016.
