Timbaland is bringing back Aaliyah for Christmas. The producer has just announced a new mixtape called "King Stays King" which is set for release on December 25 through My Mixtapez and will include an unreleased song from the late R&B princess.

The 16-track tape will additionally feature appearances from Young Thug, Rich Homie Quan, Mila J and Blaze among others. "It's been a while since I've been able to give the world some new music," says Timbaland of the project. "I've spent a lot of time working on this project and I am just looking forward to giving my fans some dope sounds to close out the year."

Timbaland first teased Aaliyah's unreleased music back in August, when he shared on Instagram a picture of the diva and captioned it, "Attention!!!!! People ask me all the time do I have any babegirl music we haven't heard !!!!!well the answer is YES!!!!!!!! TIMBO x BABEGIRL !!!!!"

This won't be the first Aaliyah song to arrive after she died in a plane crash back in 2001. Her last album was released posthumously in 2002. Over a decade later, fans almost had another Aaliyah record from Drake and producer Noah "40" Shebib. The project involving Drizzy was eventually canceled following numerous backlashes.
