Contrary to the swirling rumors, the 'Expendables' actor will not serve as a producer for the small-screen adaptation of John Rambo.

Sylvester Stallone is not involved in "Rambo" TV series after all. The action movie actor was previously reported to serve as an executive producer for a father-son relationship story dubbed "Rambo: New Blood".

"Contrary to reports, Sylvester Stallone has opted not to participate in the planned Rambo television series in any way at all," a spokesperson for Stallone set the record straight in a statement. "I wish the others well with the project."

Instead of working on "New Blood", Sly is currently adapting "The Expendables" for the small screen. On top of that, Sly has also been trying to do a fifth "Rambo" feature film tentatively called "Rambo: Last Blood". He recently reprised his other iconic role as Rocky in "Creed" starring Michael B. Jordan.
