TV

A city on fire, Rip Hunter's futuristic plane, and the legends using their weapons as well as unleashing their powers to fight against Vandal Savage are teased in the promo.

AceShowbiz -

Vandal Savage (Casper Crump) is just unstoppable. Following Arrow - The Flash team-up to battle the immortal villain, he's back on The CW's upcoming series "DC's Legends of Tomorrow", which is previewed in a new trailer.

This time, time-traveling rogue Rip Hunter (Arthur Darvill) assembles a group of heroes and villains to take down Vandal, who unleashes terror in larger scale. In the latest sneak peek, Vandal destroys the city and recruits people to join him.

Once Rip has managed to convince the future "legends" that they're the only hope to save the future, he shows his futuristic plane that wows the "legends." And so it begins an epic war against Vandal.

In addition to the trailer, a new poster for the "Arrow" and "The Flash" spin-off has been released.

The "Legends of Tomorrow" team includes Captain Cold (Wentworth Miller), Heat Wave (Dominic Purcell), Firestorm (Victor Garber), Jay Jackson (Franz Drameh), The Atom (Brandon Routh), White Canary (Caity Lotz), Hawkman (Falk Hentschel) and Hawkgirl (Ciara Renee). It was recently reported that Cisco (Carlos Valdes) of "The Flash" would appear on "Legends of Tomorrow".

Lotz, meanwhile, teased her character's transformation into White Canary. "Her sister [Laurel] helps her find the new identity," she said. "She's a little more easy going, a little more lighthearted. She's seen it all. That has brought a little bit of a lightness to her. She's not quite as heavy as she was. She can't really take everything so seriously anymore."

"Legends of Tomorrow" kicks off Thursday, January 21, 2016 at 8 P.M. on The CW.
