Star Caity Lotz teases that the show's upcoming crossoever is 'insane.'

AceShowbiz - "DC's Legends of Tomorrow" may not take an action in the upcoming Arrowverse crossover event "Elseworlds". However, it doesn't mean that it will not be able to joining up other teams in another Crossover. The show's showrunner Keto Shimizu reveals that "Legends" are cooking up something extra-special during the week that "Elseworlds" will air.

"During the week that all the other crossovers are happening, we will essentially be crossing over with ourselves," said Shimizu at The CW Fall Launch event. Shimizu added that the episode would see the charactes traveling across "alternate time periods."

Star Caity Lotz further teased, "That particular episode is insane. I think they wanted to do something special since we weren't going to be doing the [Elseworlds] crossovers." She promised that fans would see "a lot of different sides of the Legends" as the show travels through the different timelines.

"I'll just say it's a lot of work for the people who are in those scenes! It's fun," Tala Ashe, who plays Zari, joked.

"DC's Legends of Tomorrow" skips this year's crossover TV event, which now only features The Flash, Arrow and Supergirl, because " 'The Legends' have really set themselves apart from the rest of the Arrowverse," according to Lotz during San Diego Comic-Con. "We're very different [and] we're not the same kind of show as the other ones, so we don’t [fit in as well]."

"Legends of Tomorrow" is set to return for season 4 on Monday, October 22 at 9 P.M. Also featuring Ruby Rose's Batwoman, 3-part "Elseworlds", meanwhile, will begin on Sunday, December 9 with "The Flash" at 8 P.M. It will later be followed by an "Arrow" episode on Monday, December 10 at 8 P.M. "Supergirl" will conclude on the following night at 8 P.M. on The CW.
