Gavin Rossdale gave first interview since his nanny scandal during the 26th annual Chris Evert/Raymond James Pro-Celebrity Tennis Classic Gala on Saturday, November 21. The Bush frontman was photographed wearing his wedding ring during the event.

Although Gavin kept quiet about his split from Gwen Stefani, he wasn't shy when discussing about their kids together Kingston, 9, Apollo, 7, and Apollo, 20 months. "The boys interact so well, and they truly love each other," the 50-year-old singer told PEOPLE.

"They are so sweet and protective of each other, and they have little dance parties," the "Love Remains the Same" crooner added, "I am always on the lookout to see what they are doing next and how they are working their naughty habits!"

Gavin noted that while he's busy working on a new Bush album and planning a 2016 tour, he's scheduling everything around his kids' schedule. "My children come first," he shared. "I am taking the boys on a special trip Dec. 26. Where we are going is a big surprise!"

During the interview, the "Glycerine" hitmaker also discussed his passion for tennis. He has been spending his time working on improvements to keep up with the pros that Evert brings to Florida each November. "I play tennis in bits and pieces throughout the year," he said, "For me, it's a big sport. And I play when I can."
