"Marvel's Jessica Jones" won't forget its roots when it arrives on Netflix later this month. While the TV version won't see the superheroine as a caped crusader, her superhero costume will still make appearance on the show.
According to TV Guide, the Spandex outfit will be featured in a flashback scene in which Trish Walker (Rachael Taylor) tries to convince her best friend Jessica (Krysten Ritter) to don a proper costume and use an alias if she wants to become a vigilante. She, however, refuses to put on the iconic white catsuit or use the alias Jewel which fans of the comic books are familiar with.
The Marvel-Netflix series follows the titular heroine, who battles demons from within and without after her short-lived stint as a Super Hero ended in tragedy. She is now rebuilding her personal life and career as a detective who gets pulled into cases involving people with extraordinary abilities in New York City.
David Tennant stars as Kilgrave or The Purple Man. Mike Colter's Luke Cage will also make appearance on "Jessica Jones" before he later gets his own solo series.
"Jessica Jones" will be released November 20 on Netflix.
