AceShowbiz - Krysten Ritter has expressed her enthusiasm for returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) as Jessica Jones. In an interview with ComicBook, she revealed her readiness to don the iconic t-shirt worn by her character in the popular Netflix series.

"Jessica Jones" premiered on Netflix in 2015 and gained critical acclaim for its mature portrayal of trauma, addiction, and recovery. Ritter's nuanced performance as the troubled private investigator earned her a dedicated following.

Following the launch of Disney+, Marvel Studios ended its partnership with Netflix and discontinued the Defenders universe. However, with the upcoming series "Daredevil: Born Again", the Defenders are set to make their return to the MCU.

Brad Winderbaum, Marvel Studios' Head of Streaming, Television, and Animation, has expressed his desire to see Jessica Jones return. Upon learning this, Ritter exclaimed, "Come on, Brad! Let's get it going."

"Daredevil: Born Again" includes an impressive cast that reconnects the Netflix era with the MCU. Charlie Cox returns as Daredevil, Vincent D'Onofrio reprises his role as Kingpin, and Jon Bernthal is set to reappear as The Punisher.

Ritter's potential return as Jessica Jones would be a natural fit, given her history with Matt Murdock in the Defenders universe. If both Ritter and Winderbaum are aligned, a new Jessica Jones series could be on the horizon.

Ritter's enthusiasm extends beyond a return to the role. She expressed her deep affection for Jessica Jones, stating, "I absolutely love Jessica more than anything... If there was ever an opportunity for her to pop up anywhere, I would be the first [to say yes]."

"Daredevil: Born Again" is expected to premiere on Disney+ in March 2025 while Ritter will next appear in "Sonic the Hedgehog 3", which debuts in December 2024.
