TV

The latest promo arts for 'The X-Files' revival come courtesy of Mitch Pileggi, who plays Walter Skinner, himself.

New promo arts of "The X-Files" revival have been unveiled and they're as spooky and mysterious as the show is. Shared by Mitch Pileggi via his Twitter account, one of the images features his character Walter Skinner along with the favorite duo, Fox Mulder (David Duchovny) and Dana Scully's (Gillian Anderson), as well as The Cigarette Smoking Man (William B. Davis).

The other two promo arts highlight Mulder and Scully. One of them features a tagline which reminds everyone to "trust no one."

The six-episode event series will encompass a mixture of stand-alone investigative episodes and those that further the original show's seminal mythology. Series creator Chris Carter promised that each episode would feature new monster.

Besides the above mentioned actors, other original stars returning for the revival are Annabeth Gish (Monica Reyes), Dean Haglund (Langly), Tom Braidwood (Frohike) and Bruce Harwood (Byers). Joel McHale is added to the cast as Tad O'Malley, a conservative talk show host who becomes an unlikely ally to Mulder.

"The X-Files" revival will launch with a two-night premiere on Sunday, January 24 and Monday, January 25 on FOX.
