Producers of Demi Lovato's 'Stars' Deny Sampling Sleigh Bells' Songs

'We did not use any samples in Demi Lovato's song 'Stars',' say Carl Falk and Rami Yacoub who produced the track off Lovato's 'Confident' album.

Demi Lovato didn't steal her "Stars" from anyone, said the producers behind the song. Responding to Sleigh Balls' claim that the former Disney darling sampled their "Infinity Guitars" and "Riot Rhythm" without permission, Carl Falk and Rami Yacoub denied there's even a sample on the "Confident" track.

"We did not use any samples in Demi Lovato's song 'Stars'," said the producers in the statement released through Lovato's rep. "Demi was also not involved with the production. She only wrote top line."

Sleigh Balls, however, isn't satisfied with just that. The duo insists that Lovato's team jacked their music. "I can confirm that the band feels their music has been sampled without proper clearance and are seeking all available remedies with Island Records," a rep for the band told Rolling Stone.

Sleigh Balls openly called out Lovato over the alleged sample in a tweet they posted earlier this week. "Flattered you guys sampled 'Infinity Guitars' & 'Riot Rhythm' for 'Stars' but we were not contacted. Gotta clear those," they wrote. They ended up getting blasted by several Lovatics who accused them of seeking attention.

Reacting to the drama, the New York-based group tweeted a picture of an explosion and applauded Lovato's fans in the caption. "Hot damn Demi fans you guys are f**kin live I respect that," they said.
