Everyone close to the athlete is hoping that his current health crisis could be a turning point for him and change him into a much better person.

Lamar Odom is currently on the mend from health crisis he suffered after being found unconscious at a Nevada brothel on October 13. Now that the former NBA star is fighting to gain his health back, people close to him are hoping the incident would be a "reality check" for him and at the same time also help him to be a much better person.
"This is exactly what she feared," a source close to Khloe Kardashian told PEOPLE about the reality TV star who has been staying by Lamar's bed side. "Everyone is hoping that this will be a reality check for him," continued the source, "and that he will make a change in his life and be the man he was created to be."
Lamar is continuing to fight for recovery after being transferred from Sunrise Hospital in Nevada to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. Khloe has been staying by his side since he was in coma. The twosome have called off their divorce. The "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" star had to, unfortunately, skip sister Kim Kardashian's birthday party and cancel her book press tour to continue caring for her husband.
Over the weekend, it was reported that Lamar suffered a dozen strokes during his stay at Sunrise Hospital in Nevada. The strokes were said to be affecting his motor skills.
