Lamar Odom clearly has loyal and caring fans. According to TMZ, some fans of the former Los Angeles Lakers basketball star have tried to reach out to both Lamar and Khloe Kardashian via social media to offer their kidneys.
As previously reported, when Lamar was in coma, he was suffering from heart failure in addition to having serious trouble with his kidneys and lungs. Most recently, TMZ reported that the organs which previously failed recovered significantly, except the kidneys. As a result, he may need a transplant.
Following the news that Lamar may need a transplant, some people have gone as far as sending the information of their blood type and contact numbers. One of Twitter users, according to the news outlet, wrote, "I dont just say stuff. If Lamar needs a kidney Im willing to donate." Another user offered his kidney with a price, "Lamar Odom needs a kidney. I will sell him one of mine for $25k."
Lamar recently underwent two emergency surgeries. While the procedure involved chest issues, it's still unknown if it's connected to his lungs or his heart. The surgeries allegedly have taken a toll on him both mentally and emotionally. The former NBA star has been left upset and emotional and no one is being allowed to see him except Khloe. Doctors want the athlete to be in a calm environment while he deals with the immediate physical and mental issues following the surgery.
On another note, some sources said doctors performed blood tests on Lamar which revealed the presence of cocaine. However, police have yet to receive the result of the blood sample back. Lamar could be prosecuted if it shows that cocaine was taken.
