Carrie Underwood Debuts Beautiful New Track 'What I Never Knew I Always Wanted'

The former 'American Idol' winner expresses gratitude for her husband and son on the latest song to have surfaced from her 'Storyteller' album.

AceShowbiz - Carrie Underwood continues to treat her fans to new "Storyteller" tracks ahead of the album's release later this week. The latest offering is the ballad "What I Never Knew I Always Wanted" which is a beautiful tribute to her husband and their child.

The 32-year-old songbird sings about how her life changed after she met her beau Mike Fisher and welcomed their son Isaiah on the first and second verse respectively. She adds on the chorus, "I finally found what I never knew I always wanted/ I couldn't see, I was blind 'til my eyes were opened/ I didn't know there was a hole/ Something missing in my soul/ 'Til you filled it up with your love."

"Storyteller", Underwood's fifth studio album, is due out on October 23. Other tracks she has released as previews of the project include lead single "Smoke Break", "Heartbeat" and "Renegade Runaway".

Recently, the "American Idol" alum was announced as one of the performers at a special concert to celebrate Frank Sinatra's 100th birthday. She'll be joined by John Legend, Usher, Adam Levine, Alicia Keys and Garth Brooks among others for the event which will be taped on December 2 at Wynn Las Vegas' Encore Theatre and broadcast December 6 on CBS.
