The Republican presidential candidate says he will boycott the next GOP debate unless CNBC changes some of the criteria.

AceShowbiz - Donald Trump may skip the next GOP debate set for October 28 unless some of the criteria are changed. The real-estate tycoon took to Twitter on Thursday, October 15 to make complaint about the criteria.

"The @GOP should not agree to the ridiculous debate terms that @CNBC is asking unless there is a major benefit to the party," he tweeted. He added in another post, "@CNBC is pushing the @GOP around by asking for extra time (and no criteria) in order to sell more commercials."

Trump's campaign manager Corey Lewandowski explained it further in a statement which read, "The criteria that was outlined by CNBC was never discussed with any of the candidates or the campaigns. So what CNBC did was send out a memo and said, 'Here's the criteria as you have approved them, and that went out to all the campaigns.' We said, 'We never agreed to this criteria.' "

The upcoming debate to be hosted by CNBC in Boulder, Colo. currently does not have a set time length and does not feature opening and closing statements. According to The New York Times, Trump's camp demanded that the debate lasts for 120 minutes because he wasn't pleased with the previous debated hosted by CNN which lasted nearly three hours.

Trump isn't the only presidential candidate who has expressed his displeasure of the criteria. Fellow Republican contenders for the White House, Ben Carson and Senator Rand Paul, have also expressed unhappiness on the criteria.
