Jhene Aiko has shared another music video from her 2014 debut album "Souled Out". The R&B singer released on Thursday, October 1 the clip for "Lyin King" and then offered explanation what the cinematic visuals is about in a Tumblr post.
Co-directed by TOCK and Topshelf Junior, the video features Aiko as "a mysterious, time traveling medicine woman (who) has a prophetic vision of an early civilization in trouble." The tribe is suffering because the men "have taken away the women's hearts and voices."
When she arrives at the tribe's primitive village, she angers the chief as she "restores the grace of the women of the tribe and gives them their voices back." The clip concludes with Aiko passing on "her apocalyptic prophecy of how the world will end due to the lack of love throughout humanity" and the chief experiencing "ego death" as "he sees that it starts with him."
