The 25-year-old rapper took to Instagram to apologize to people who might have been offended by a Snapchat video of him puffing away while having his son on his lap.

AceShowbiz - Rich Homie Quan realized that puffing away near his son Royal wasn't good. The 25-year-old rapper took to Instagram on Friday, September 25 to apologize to people who might have been offended by his action which was captured in a Snapchat video.

Quan posted a snap showing him kissing his son who was holding a candy. The snap came alongside his statement of apology. "To whom it may concern," the rapper opened the statement. "First off, I would like to apologize to my son, (Royal) my fans and all the parents around the world. By no means would I do anything to hurt my son or any kid in the world."

The rapper then admitted that he regretted smoking while having his son on his lap. "I regret that I chose to continue to smoke once Royal jumped in my lap. After looking back on it I realize my error and I am sorry for my actions," read the statement.

"I would also like to take the time to let people around the world know that this pedestal that I have been placed upon I do not take it for granted but I need people to understand that I am only human and I make mistakes just like anyone else," Quan continued, before saying that he would try his best to be a good parent. "In spite of this situation I will continue to strive to be the best parent I can be. Thanks RHQ!!"

As previously reported, Child Protective Services and the Fulton County Police Department teamed up to conduct an investigation after they saw the video of Quan smoking near his son. Law enforcement sources said the rapper could face criminal charges including endangering a child and reckless behavior.
