A spider bite has resulted in 'severe swelling, vomiting and a migraine' and in her being unable to move the left hand side of her face for a period of time.

Stephanie Pratt was rushed to the hospital over the weekend after being bitten by a spider that left her temporarily paralyzed. Her representative confirmed the incident, saying it resulted in her being unable to move the left hand side of her face for a period of time.
"Steph has indeed been in hospital, being treated for a spider bite which temporarily paralyzed the left hand side of her face," the spokesperson said in a statement. "Steph has experienced severe swelling, vomiting and a migraine. Following treatment, she is fine, if a little exhausted. The swelling has reduced, although she is still feeling a little poorly."
"Her face was very swollen as she was bitten just beneath her eye, on the side of her nose. Her eye was almost closed due to the swelling, so she couldn't see, and she lost all the sensation in the left hand side of her face," the spokesperson shared further details on Stephanie's condition. "She was given an injection which reduced this and she regained feeling and movement late yesterday."
Stephanie herself has updated her fans about her hospitalization, tweeting, "Just spent nearly 4hrs at Bupa Cromwell hospital.... For a spider bite!!! Wtf." Shortly thereafter she jokingly added, "I forgot to mention if anyone is going to the Bupa hospital on Cromwell... Make sure you get the carrot cake at their coffee shop."
