New 'Spectre' Video Focuses on Real Stunts
Movie

According to director Sam Mendes, the upcoming Bond movie features real stunts, real action and real explosions.

AceShowbiz - Following Heineken ad which features James Bond's action sequence, a new behind-the-scenes video of "Spectre" has been released. Instead of exploring the digital work, the video focuses on the practical effects used to make the film feel real.

Alexander Witt, the second unit director of the film, revealed that the team behind the spy movie took a big risk to perform something that had never been done before. All stunt sequences are real, including rooftop hopping that Daniel Craig performs and even when a helicopter flips in the air. The video lets fans see the action sequences filmed in Austria, Mexico and Morocco.

"The philosphy of the Bond franchise and mine particularly as a filmmaker is to do things for real. So you have to roll up your sleeves and work it out," says director Sam Mendes. "The tradition for Bond is always real stunts, real action, real explosions. There's nothing made up and that remains the case. So the ultimate goal is the kind of excitement, visceral excitement you can only get from live stunts."

In the upcoming movie, a cryptic message from Bond's past sends him on a trail to uncover a sinister organisation. While M battles political forces to keep the secret service alive, Bond peels back the layers of deceit to reveal the terrible truth behind Spectre. Lea Seydoux, Ben Whishaw, Naomie Harris, Ralph Fiennes and Dave Bautista also star in the movie which is slated for a U.K. release on October 6.
