Amy Schumer got the sweetest surprise from her pal Jennifer Lawrence after the comedian won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Variety Sketch Series. The actress of "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 2" flooded Amy's hotel room with congratulatory balloons.
The "Inside Amy Schumer" star took to Instagram on September 21 to share a photo showing what Jennifer had done to her room. The photo showed Amy standing in the middle of the room holding her Emmy. The room was full of huge and colorful balloons. "Never tell Jennifer L your room number," read the caption.
After her win, Amy told Entertainment Tonight in the press room at the Emmys that the 25-year-old actress sent her a sweet message commenting on her appearance at the awards show. "Jennifer sent me a really sweet text," Amy revealed. "She said that I looked pretty but not smart."
"She's really funny. She's the real deal funny," Amy said of Jennifer. "My sister and Jen and I wrote a movie together so we're gonna hopefully be shooting that in a year or something. We're busy!"
Despite their close relationship, Amy told E! News on the red carpet of the awards show that they're just friends, not BFFs yet. "We really like each other, but I think the media blew it up," the comedian said. "We're not BFFs. We're just Fs, but we're really good Fs. I have BFFs since I was 8 years old so it'll be tough to uproot them."
