Katy Perry's dad Keith Hudson poked fun at his daughter's failure to ride a Segway at the Burning Man festival in Nevada over the weekend. The "Dark Horse" singer posted on Monday, September 7 a video showing her dad teaching her how to ride the Segway properly.
In the video, Perry's dad, who wore black ensemble, could be seen riding the Segway Perry used at the festival. "Hey Bird, you need a lesson 'cause this is the way you do it," Hudson said while spinning around on the Segway on a driveway.
While spinning around, Hudson tauntingly held the Segway with one hand. After making a number of spins, he spread his arms and said, "Aha." Seemingly annoyed at his dad's taunt, Perry sarcastically captioned it, "Thanks dad."
The 30-year-old singer also posted a video of fireworks at the festival. A caption for the video read, "When u hand burning man the aux chord." The annual weeklong festival, which sees the burning of an effigy of "The Man," ended on Monday.
Evangelical Christian minister Hudson previously admitted he's "always a proud father." However, he wasn't too impressed when he attended one of Perry's concerts in 2013 and saw her fans "worshipping" her.
He told a church congregation, "I was at a concert of Katy's where there were 20,000. I'm watching this generation and they were going at it. It almost looked like church. I stood there and wept and kept on weeping and weeping. They're loving and worshipping the wrong thing."
