The 'Sk8ter Boi' hitmaker announces on Instagram her separation from the Nickelback lead singer whom she married in 2013.

Avril Lavigne and husband Chad Kroeger called it quits after two years of marriage. The pop singer announced their separation on Instagram with a picture during their happier time. "It is with heavy heart that Chad and I announce our separation today," she said.
"Through not only the marriage, but the music as well, we've created many unforgettable moments. We are still, and forever will be, the best of friends, and will always care deeply for each other. To all our family, friends and fans, thank you sincerely for the support," she added.
The reason of their split is unclear but the Nickelback frontman reportedly has been telling people that their marriage is on the rocks. "It's over," a source claimed to Us Weekly. "He has been going around L.A. telling people that they are divorcing."
Avril Lavigne, 30, and Chad Kroeger, 40, started dating in 2012 after they worked together on her fifth studio album. They married at Chateau de La Napoule in the South of France in 2013. The couple was hit with breakup rumors last year, which both vehemently denied. She later opened up on her battle with Lyme disease and praised her husband for being there for her.
She was previously married to Sum 41's Deryck Whibley from 2006 to 2010. Her ex recently tied the knot with Ariana Cooper at the Hotel Bel Air in Calif.
