AceShowbiz - Glenn Morshower is the latest addition to "Supergirl". The former "24" actor joins the CBS superhero series in a recurring role. According to a scoop from IGN, he is set to play General Sam Lane, the father of Lois and Lucy Lane.
General Lane is described as a powerful military lifer and an overprotective father to both Lucy Lane and her sister, Lois. His arrival in National City stirs up trouble for Supergirl when he enlists her in a dangerous government initiative.
Jenna Dewan-Tatum is cast as Lucy and Melissa Benoist will lead the show as the titular heroine. Other cast members include Calista Flockhart, Chyler Leigh, Mehcad Brooks, David Harewood, and Jeremy Jordan. It will premiere October 26.
Glenn Morshower, 56, has also appeared on "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" and "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." Meanwhile, his movie roles include "Transformers" franchise and "X-Men: First Class".
