Lucy Liu is a first time mother at 46. The "Charlie's Angels" star announced the birth of her son Rockwell Lloyd Liu who was born via surrogate mother.
"Introducing the new little man in my life, my son Rockwell Lloyd Liu. In [heart emoji]," Liu captioned a black-and-white photo of her cradling the newborn. A rep for the actress later released a statement, saying, "I can confirm that Lucy Liu is the proud mother of Rockwell Lloyd Liu, brought into the world via gestational carrier. Mom and baby are healthy and happy."

Back in 2010, the actress told USA Today that she had no "settling-down time." Joking about her biological clock, she said, "Someone threw out the battery." She added, "I never feel like it's too early or too late for anything. I don't ever think for me that this traditional way is the way to go for me because I haven't had a traditional life."
Liu stars on CBS' "Elementary" and returns as a voice cast member for "Kung Fu Panda 3" which is due January 29, 2016.
