'Full House' Cast React to 'Unauthorized Full House Story', Slam Its Inaccuracy

Although producer Stephan Bulka claims what is depicted in the Lifetime movie really happened, original series creator Jeff Franklin points out at least one scene that wasn't true.

AceShowbiz - Lifetime delivered its take on "Full House" before the original cast members reunite for Netflix's "Fuller House". On Saturday, August 22, the cable channel aired "The Unauthorized Full House Story" and the stars of the 1980s-'90s sitcom took to Twitter to share their reactions.

John Stamos gave a shout out to Justin Gaston who plays himself, "Good luck tonight @JMichaelGaston - Hope you have as much fun being me as I do." Candace Cameron Bure simply wrote, "So bad. Just so bad."

Andrea Barber posted a picture of her character Kimmy Gibbler showing unimpressed face and captioned it, "Basically I'm going to be making this face all night." She additionally wrote, "Anything good on TV tonight?"

Series creator Jeff Franklin claimed at least one scene in the TV movie was inaccurate. He tweeted, "About that lifetime movie. Not so good. And for the record, I never had a fight with bob Saget. But at least they spelled our names right!" Mocking the so-called "tell-all movie," he added, "Tough to get past the casting. And nobody hid behind the couch whispering lines to the twins. We hid behind the other actors!"

"The Unauthorized Full House Story" also got bad reviews from viewers. One Twitter user laughed at the movie, "Only 10 mins in but this #UnauthorizedFullHouse movie is awkward...or something...I don't really know. Lol." Another said that "the acting in this movie is awful." One other viewer said, "I could only watch 20 min of #UnauthorizedFullHouse .....it was THAT bad."

Stephan Bulka who produces "Unauthorized Full House Story" earlier claimed that the story depicted in the TV movie was accurate. He told EW, "Everything in the movie happened. It really is the story."

He additionally described the movie as "very fun and entertaining, and I think very affectionate, look at what a lot of the Lifetime audience grew up watching and loving." He further claimed, "There's a lot of humor in the movie and a lot of things fans didn't really know before. It's really a love letter to the show."
