Miles Teller is in talks to star in post-traumatic stress disorder drama, "Thank You for Your Service", which is being developed at DreamWorks, TheWrap reports. The movie will mark the directorial debut of "American Sniper" screenwriter Jason Hall.

Hall also writes the script which he adapted from David Finkel's 2014 non-fiction novel of the same name. "Thank You For Your Service" follows three American soldiers who deal with trauma after a terrible war. They struggle to readjust to civilian life after coming home from Iraq as the memories of war continue to haunt them even though they have returned to their families.

Steven Spielberg was originally tapped to direct the movie, with Daniel Day-Lewis possibly starring. However, Spielberg reportedly suggested Hall to helm the movie himself after reading the screenplay. The PTSD movie is expected to arrive in the U.S. in 2017.

Teller will next be seen in the third installment of "Divergent" series, "Allegiant - Part 1", which will open in North America next year and in Todd Phillips' "Arms and the Dudes" with Jonah Hill as well as in boxing drama "Bleed for This". He is also set to star alongside Jeff Bridges and Rosamund Pike in Marc Webb's "The Only Living Boy in New York".
