"America's Got Talent" revealed more semifinalists on the Wednesday, August 19 results show. Just like last week, out of the 12 acts who performed on Tuesday night, only 7 would make the cut.
Ira, 3 Shades of Blue and Freckled Sky were in the bottom three, but viewers could save one of them via live voting. Those who were announced safe were Derek Hughes, Arielle Baril, Uzeyer Novruzov, The CraigLewis Band and Sharon Irving. Meanwhile, DM Nation, Animation Crew, Damone Rippy and Myq Kaplan were eliminated.
Later, the winner of the Dunkin' Save was announced and Ira was the lucky one who joined other semifinalists. It's now up to the judges to choose who between 3 Shades of Blue and Freckled Sky should advance. Melanie Brown a.k.a. Mel B., Howie Mandel and Howard Stern chose 3 Shades of Blue, so the band is safe, while Freckled Sky got the boot.
The quarterfinal round will wrap up next week. "America's Got Talent" airs Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 8 P.M. on NBC.
